Directions to Mathon

The Glöckner Hotel and Residence are located right next to each other in Mathon, a part of Ischgl.

Mathon is located in between the two skiing resorts of Ischgl and Galtür. Thus, it is the perfect starting point for everyone who would like to explore both places and their facilities.

Whether you come here in summer or in winter, the mountains around Mathon have a lot to offer. In winter, skiers and snowboarders can look forward to long, varied slopes and high-tech chair lifts and cable cars, while in summer Mathon is an ideal place for hikers and mountain bikers to start their tours exploring the mountains of the Silvretta mountain range.

Getting here by car

From Germany, the countries of the Benelux and eastern Austria you use the Inntal highway (A12, which is E45 and E60).

From western Austria and Switzerland you go through the Arlberg tunnel (S16) or over the Arlberg pass (B197) to get to the Paznaun valley. In summer you can also take the Silvretta high alpine road.

From Italy you reach us over the Reschen pass (B180) or the Brenner pass (A13, which is E45).

The closest traffic and transport interchange is Landeck, about 28 km away from Ischgl. Exit there and drive towards Pians, there you take the road to Paznaun and pass the villages of See, Kappl and Ischgl before you finally arrive in Mathon.

Getting here by train or air

You can also come to Mathon travelling by plane or by train.

By train

Go to the Landeck train station, then continue to Mathon by public transport; you can go by taxi or take a bus (Postbus runs a regular bus service from Landeck to Ischgl).

By air

Your plane lands in Innsbruck (about 100 km away from Ischgl), Zürich (about 235 km away from Ischgl) or  Munich (about 230 km away from Ischgl). From the airport, continue by train, bus or taxi to Landeck; from there you go to Mathon by bus or taxi.
